I’m Madeline, the photographer behind Mitzi and Rose. I’m so glad you’re here.
When I pick up my camera for our session, my goal is to create a space where play, openness, joy, and spontaneity can join us for your session. In part, because the more fun you're having the more fun your images are, and partly because it’s my sincere hope that the family photo session ends up being a fond memory your family makes together.
My background as a preschool assistant teacher makes me uniquely qualified for young family dynamics, and a love of theater and performing ensures we don’t take things too seriously.
During sessions you can expect playful direction, and warmth and curiosity with your children. I may offer direction toward poses, but I also value following your child’s lead on what’s feeling connective and fun for them. I capture both polished and candid moments so you get a mixed of posed images and unplanned gems.

Pick Your Date
You choose a date that works best for you on my calendar. Before submitting you’ll answer some questions so I can get to know you and your family better. Once I receive your date request, I’ll send you a client agreement and payment options for the session retainer — completion of these officially reserves your date!

Prepare for Your Session
We’ll confirm our shoot location and you’ll receive a Session Guide so you’re confidently prepared for your session. If you have any questions, I’m just an email away!

Session Day!
The best part! You already know what to expect so our session is a breeze. After the session you will receive an invitation to view your images and select a photo package. Your final selections will be hand edited and delivered in a custom online gallery.
