I'm Madeline, the photographer behind Mitzi and Rose. I'm deeply in love with family photography because this season of life, while 1lled with unending to- do lists and mental and physical juggling acts aplenty, is one of the most magical. I know young family days are Feeting and I view photography as a way to preserving that magic; of being sure you always remember.

I want to take a moment to commend you for taking the time to prioritize a photo session for your family. I truly believe your future self will thank you for seeing the value in intentionally documenting this time. I'm honored you're here and hope to answer any questions you have.

When I pick up my camera for our session, my goal is to create a space where play, openness, joy, and spontaneity can join us for your session. In part, because the more fun you're having the more fun your images are, and partly because it’s my sincere hope that the family photo session ends up being a fond memory your family makes together.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A session experience that’s a memory made.

I approach every single session with care and attention to the people I'm creating with and the environment we're in.

I’ll give guidance and direction, but also wholeheartedly embrace organic moments and candid imagery.

I lead with kindness and respect, and view this as a highly collaborative process that should feel fun!

I want your family to have fun, and to feel connected and comfortable.

Before we meet, you can expect pre-session preparation. You'll receive a full session guide including wardrobe tips and ways to prepare your family for our time together.

Our natural light sessions take place during golden hour, the hour before sunset, at a location we choose together.

Before, during, and after our session you'll receive support every step of the way. From securing your session to delivery and ordering, I’m here to help craft your family session so it feels just right.

Session Process

Book your Date

Available session dates are viewable in the next section of this document.

To reserve your date, a signed client agreement and non-refundable retainer of $299 must be completed. These secure your date and include pre-session planning and up to 90 minutes of session time.

This non-refundable retainer is separate from your collections purchase, detailed below.
No digital images or print credits are included in the non-refundable retainer.

Receive Your Images

After our session, you'll receive an invitation within seven (7) business days to view your proofing gallery.

Choose A Collection

Once you’ve had the opportunity to view your images, you choose the Session Collection that best suits your family.

Once your collection is selected and your invoice is completed, I will hand-edit each image. All collections include light retouching and personal use licensing.

Your final gallery will be delivered within 2-3 weeks of submitting your completed selections and completed invoice payment.

Your family photo session date is reserved after completion of a client agreement and payment of a non-refundable retainer, separate from your Collections purchase.

After your session you’ll receive a proofing gallery and choose which collection of your final photos you would like to purchase.

Session Collections

These sessions are designed for families coming together across generations. They include a thoughtful mix of full-group portraits, smaller family pairings, and candid moments that reflect your family’s genuine connection and joy.

After years of serving families with a variety of needs and budgets, I've created a pricing structure that allows you to select exactly what you love, and choose only your favorites for purchase.

You'll receive a proofing gallery after our session and from there decide which package of images and print credit you would like to purchase.

This is thoughtfully designed to ensure you leave the experience with digital files for sharing and personal printing, as well as access to the highest quality keepsakes for display and archival purposes.

Both collections include up to 12 people; additional family members may be added for $25 per person.

I’ll keep in touch if the weather preceding our shoot looks questionable, and if it does you have the option to reschedule with no extra fees.

From there, you will have a week to select your favorites. You can expect your hand-edited, final gallery in 2 weeks.

Definitely. After booking I will send you a Session Guide that includes inspiration for outfits and other helpful tips. I'm available to give feedback if you’re feeling stuck. You can bring options to your shoot as well. We’ll make sure you look and feel amazing.
I deeply and sincerely believe that every person I photograph is beautiful and that beauty is meant to be honored, not altered. I want you to trust the images you receive. That said, I do not offer retouching such as body modifications or face swapping. I will deliver retouched images with subtle adjustments like image sharpening and a reduction in temporary blemishes.
Depending on the size of your group, an assistant may be present to help with coordination and ensure everything runs smoothly. An additional rate of $25 per person applies for groups over 12, and should be noted when you book your session.
You will receive the credit with delivery of your 1nal edited images. Your 1nal gallery is connected to an online store where you may choose from a selections of prints, albums, and products printed by some of the highest quality print labs in the country. You can apply the credit at checkout.
